Totally agree! I've seen many portfolios online that look beautiful. That doesn't mean the design serves the user. Sure, an ugly portfolio or app might not get the love... but also define ugly. Ugly for who? What's the product? Who's going to be using it? Furthermore more features doesn't always mean better.
