It's super important that we speak about menstruation openly with both, men and women. There are plenty of women who get uncomfortable around this topic too.

When I got my period, my mom didn't explained what was happening in my body. She just said that it was normal, something all girls went through. We went to the store, bought pads, and that was it.

I was told not to eat citrus fruits on my period, as they would interrupt it. I was also told not to use tampons until after I gave birth. (?!)

These myths are passed on from woman to woman. And we must challenge them as well.

Kudos for talking about your period and inspiring others to do the same.
