I identify so much with this. As someone who struggled with eating disorders for over a decade. People around me, who dont know about my past, dont realize how often they talk about weight. And staying in shape. I've been congratulated on losing weight... and... not for finishing a UX bootcamp or doing other things. It's like, losing weight seems to be something I should aspire to. If I don't aspire to lose weight, then something must be wrong with me, because I definitely should.

It's exhausting. A colleague at work even commented that she noticed I had stopped drinking coke. She said that should help me lose some pounds.

People think they're being well meaning but the bottom line is: don't ever comment about other people's bodies. Never. No matter their gender or age. We don't talk about people's bodies.
