Hi Yael,

As a new mom, I'm often high on love for my kid. I'm also sleep deprived and exhausted, but that's another story.

It is as a new mom that I agree that we don't know love better than people who don't have children.

Not all mothers are able to love. Maybe because they never felt loved to begin with.

Love should not be measured nor compared. We all show love in different ways.

A woman doesn't have to give birth to be a mother. Some women who give birth don't act as mothers.

It's problematic that we paint motherhood as the most important thing in a woman's life. It's not.

As women we can birth many things: novels, scientific discoveries, inventions, projects, etc.

As women we must support each other, and lift each other up. Emphatize with one another.

I've read some other of your pieces, and thought to tell you about Yerma, it's a book by Federico García Lorca. I feel that it might resonate with you.

Keep sharing your experiences.
