As someone who struggled with anorexia and bulimia, I learned the same thing .

When I started to lose weight, the way people treated me changed dramatically.

I too, felt that my weight was tied to my worth. The lower my weight, the higher my worth.

I continue to struggle with body image because of how people talk about it. In the U.S. I wouldn't be considered fat, but in Spain I'm perceived as a large woman.
